As of early 2018, what was formally known as the Global Co-operative Development Group Inc for 7 years, has morphed into what is now the Global Co-operative Development Network.

 

The network involves officials, professionals, practitioners and academics from around the world who have a personal interest in the future success of co-operatives.

One of the co-operative's original three founding members, long time co-operator educator and author Dr. Ian MacPherson passed suddenly in late 2013. His energy, humor and deep love for co-operatives and of co-operation will not soon be forgotten. In the fall of 2021 the second founding member, Greg Wallace, also passed, unexpectedly.   Since that time development consulting and coordination has continued to be performed by Terry MacDonald.
